Michael & Kim Essenburg

Vision
We want Christian Academy of Japan (CAJ) students to love Jesus. We want CAJ students to understand that God created the world good, that sin has affected all of creation, that we as Christians have been redeemed by Christ, and that we should participate in restoring God’s creation.
Mission
We want the Japanese to know Jesus. Since 1987, we’ve been supporting the spread of the Gospel by serving at Christian Academy in Japan (CAJ), a K-12 school located in Tokyo of over 450 students. CAJ fosters the development of a biblical worldview using English and an American-style program. The school provides Christ-centered education for 150 Japanese students and for missionary children from 40 missions. By providing schooling for missionary children, CAJ frees missionaries to share the Gospel with the Japanese. Over 350 churches have been planted within a 15-mile radius of CAJ.
Ministry in Japan
At CAJ, Kim teaches high school English and provides leadership for the English Department. Michael provides leadership in school improvement through coaching, consulting, and training. Time permitting, Michael also provides similar services for other mission organizations.
Thank You
