Mission & Vision
We know that God loves the people of Latin America. He has given the gift of the Holy Spirit to many who have professed their faith in Jesus Christ and this has led to the Church’s tremendous growth in Latin America. We envision the Church of Honduras and Latin America faithfully reflecting God to their communities. Through the Church’s faithfulness in proclaming and following the Word, members of the community will come to know Jesus Christ and the community will be transformed.
Ministry in Honduras
We are excited to serve God and His people in Honduras.
The Christian Reformed Church of Honduras (CRCH), a denomination of over 70 congregations, is working to adopt the “Healthy Church Initiative.” This initiative includes proclamation of the Word, evangelism, discipleship, Christian education, and community transformation. Caspar supports this initiative by encouraging and training Honduran leaders who have a vision for their church and nation.
Leanne serves as the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee’s (CRWRC) Team Leader for Latin America. She works with the CRWRC staff partnering partner with more than 30 churches and organizations in eight Latin American countries.
The Geisterfers work in partnership with a network of North American supporting churches. This work includes proclaiming what God is doing in Latin America and creating partnerships between North American and Latin American congregations and communities.
About Caspar & Leanne
We have served the Lord in Latin America for more than 25 years. We began serving with CRWRC in the Dominican Republic in 1983. Leanne became CRWRC’s Field Director in Haiti in 1994 and later became CRWRC’s Latin America Team Leader. Caspar served in an organizational development role and later served three years with Habitat for Humanity. During this time, God called Caspar to further study. In 2001, Caspar enrolled in Calvin Theological Seminary, finishing his studies in 2008.
