Ministry in Haiti
I have been an associate missionary with Christian Reformed World Missions (CRWM) in Haiti since 2005. As the years pass, my role continues to grow and change. One of my main responsibilities is to provide assistance with logistics and plans for hosting teams from North America. I also meet with local women and youth who produce handmade crafts and talk with them about quality control and marketing. Lately, I have been preparing theological lessons for deacons, women, youth, and even pastors. I’m also getting involved in several new initiatives being implemented in Haiti.
The ministry I am most involved in is Timothy Leadership Training (TLT). TLT is a practical, biblical curriculum for training lay leaders and pastors who have had little formal training. I strive to encourage Haitians to use their unique gifts to serve God and others. This encouragement happens through a variety of ways including leadership education for women and youth, sharing about God’s work in Haiti to visitors, and walking alongside churches as they reach out to their communities.
I desire to see God’s love shown and experienced by those around me, not only by addressing the spiritual needs of the Haitians, but also by seeking justice and meeting people’s physical and emotional needs. Backed by the prayers and support of family around the world, this task is possible as we play our role in doing His will for His glory!
Thank You
I praise God for His work around the world and the privilege of serving Him. Thank you for your prayers, generosity and support for my ministry with Christian Reformed World Missions. Together, by the grace of God, our efforts are transforming lives and communities worldwide. Thank you.
