Mission & Vision
It is our privilege to build up new generations
of Christian leaders who will restore Haiti. This
focus will lay the foundation for a prosperous
and blessed future for this long-suffering land.
Our mission is to equip and empower Haitian
Christian leaders to proclaim the Good News in
Haiti. As career missionaries in Haiti, we have
been pursuing this mission by:
- Training the leaders of the Christian
Reformed Church of Haiti and other
denominations to proclaim the Good News
of Christ.
- Working with local churches to develop the
resources needed for Gospel proclamation.
- Mobilizing human and material resources
from North America to responsibly assist
Haitian Christians to proclaim the Good News.
Ministry in Haiti
On what hope do you build your foundation
when the world around you crumbles? Since
the disastrous 2010 earthquake, Haiti has been
shaken. Today God is providing an opportunity
to rebuild Haiti on a solid foundation. The
Prophet Isaiah proclaims, “You shall raise up the
foundations of many generations” (58:12). The
only secure place to rebuild is on Jesus Christ,
the solid rock of our existence. Despite the best
efforts of outsiders, Haiti has suffered through
natural disasters, material poverty, inadequate
medical care, Voodooism, and corruption.
The future of Haiti lies with Haitians — a new
generation of Christian leaders energetically
restoring the cracked walls and foundations of
their country.
About Zach & Sharon
Throughout our lives, God has called us to
encourage and equip His people to proclaim
the Good News. We have served together as
seminary teachers in Donga, Nigeria, West
Africa, and as missionaries in Puerto Rico.
Sharon has served Waterloo Christian Reformed
Church, ON as Intern Pastor, Fuller Avenue CRC,
Grand Rapids, MI, as Director of Education, and
Christ Community Church, Grand Rapids, MI,
as Worship Leader. Zachary has served Second
CRC of Allendale, MI and Paw Paw CRC, MI as
Intern Pastor. We have worked as CRWM church
and leadership developers in Haiti since 2005.
We have four children: Hannah, Vivian, Isaiah,
and Esther.
