Vision
God loves the people of Cambodia and wants them to rejoice in the blessing of His holy presence and salvation. We seek to follow after what He is already doing, to be heralds of Christ among the Cambodian people.
We envision a place “without walls” (Zechariah 2:4, 5) because walls can’t contain the blessings in it. It is so full of the glory of God that others are attracted to its light. It doesn’t need walls to protect it because God surrounds it with His power and love.
Where God dwells, the broken is restored, the bereaved rejoice, and the barren bears fruit. These are not promises of instant health, quick wealth, or easy grace, but assurances that when God is present there is resurrection power: souls are redeemed, hearts are transformed, and lives are given hope and meaning.
Mission
Empowering Christ-centered holistic ministry in Cambodia through leadership development and ministry coordination.
About Cambodia
Cambodia is a small country bordering Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and the Gulf of Thailand. The Khmer Rouge’s rule of Cambodia in the 1970s ravaged the country. Out of a population of 13 million, an estimated three million people were killed under Khmer Rouge rule. The country is still recovering from this horrific time.
Cambodia has a rich cultural heritage, including the powerful Khmer Kingdom of Angkor in the ninth century. But today, it is one of the world’s poorest and least developed countries. About 95 percent of Cambodians are Buddhist; only two percent are Christian. Yet, the church has been growing rapidly over the last decade. The church now has an acute need for leadership training on all levels.
Ministry in Cambodia
- Creating a Kingdom ministry center with multiple partners
- Leading/organizing seminars and other training events that build the capacity of the national church to respond to the need for holistic ministries
- Working with CRWRC Cambodia staff by providing a theological perspective and pastoral support
- Teaching (as time and opportunity permit) in Phnom Penh Bible School
- Developing relationships with other potential partners in mission for the up-building of the church and Christ’s kingdom in Cambodia
- Discipling Cambodian youth and college students
