Local churches are involved in many different initiatives. Collectively, at a denominational level, we are also engaged in various ways. Here are some of them:
- The Indigenous Christian Fellowship in Regina, Edmonton, and Winnipeg provide hands-on care for the needs of Indigenous people, community development, contextualized spiritual care, and more.
- The Canadian Indigenous Ministry Committee provides lay leadership and education about reconciliation and Indigenous justice. We are a small but mighty committee that supports CRC churches and members who want to learn to seek justice with Indigenous neighbours.
- The Christian Reformed Centre for Public Dialogue provides education and advocacy around issues related to Indigenous justice, especially equity in Indigenous education.
- The Office of Race Relations works with the Canadian Indigenous Ministry Committee to run Blanket Exercises and run other workshops and programs relating to racial injustice and Indigenous peoples.
