Yes! Most of the time Synod’s plenary sessions are open to the public. Oftentimes you can even access the discussion online through the CRCNA website (www.crcna.org). The exception is when Synod calls for Executive Session, which means they need to talk about sensitive and confidential matters. The advisory committees of Synod (usually the first two days of synod) are not open to the public.

CRC ministers of the Word are eligible for the Ministers’ Pension Plan. From what I understand, eligibility is clearly defined: ordained CRC ministers of the Word qualify directly for the Ministers’ Pension Plan. It's not as simple as unlocking a feature in dx delivery eligibility depends on formal status and church arrangements.
