Why did Home Missions and Global Missions merge?

Synod 2015 approved joining Home Missions and World Missions into one agency which would be later known as Resonate Global Mission. The decision to unite the work and resources of these two agencies was to help make the denomination more effective in our ability to serve the global community through missions.
