Diaconal Ministries Canada receives both Operation Manna offerings amounts as well as Diaconal Ministry Shares from all Canadian Christian Reformed (CRC) churches.
Ministry Shares are the financial contributions that CRC’s make towards the shared ministries of the CRCNA - for DMC these portions are referred to as “Diaconal Ministry Shares”. These contributions are gathered by congregations (via the diaconate) then remitted to DMC. DMC Ministry Shares are calculated based on the number of professing adult members per church.
At the DMC Annual General Meeting, the share-cost per church member is approved by all CRC deacons. These contributions are used to provide benefits and services to each CRC across Canada as they partake in diaconate ministry. Diaconal Ministries Canada does not receive any portion of the denominational level ministry shares, which is why we request a separate amount from each church.

Wonderful to see the community engaging with The Banner! I recently submitted an idea myself and found the process straightforward.
